Diving baptism is a dive for which you do not need experience in autonomous diving, to be able to live the experience of scuba diving. Baptism consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theory, the basic concepts of scuba diving and the use of autonomous breathing equipment are given, as well as a brief explanation of the environment where we are going to carry out the practice.
For the practical session, a shallow dive is made, about 5 meters deep, accompanied by an instructor with extensive experience.
Baptism can be performed by anyone who knows swim, over 12 years old and in good health. There is no previous scuba experience requirement.
It is ideal to get in touch with diving and decide if we dare to do the basic diving course that would allow us to dive deeper and longer.
The baptism takes place in the waters of Cabo de Gata Natural Park, which ensures a very rewarding experience due to the large amount of life in this marine reserve.
The seabed that we will find during the dive is not degraded and is a clear example of Mediterranean biodiversity.
